Enjoy your 3 Days by visiting famous Parks, on this tour, you will get a chance to explore The Serengeti is well known for the largest annual animal migration in the world of over 1.5 million blue wildebeest and 250,000 zebra, and the largest lion population in Africa. It is under threat from deforestation, population growth, ranching, and Ngorongoro Crater, the eight wonders of the world.
No need for our visitors to miss this unforgettable Tanzania unique adventure.
After you have breakfast at your hotel, we will pick you (or your group) up from the hotel at 07:30 am and drive to Serengeti National Park. The drive to the Serengeti is on both paved and bumpy roads as we go through some small local villages and towns. The drive takes about 3-4 hours depending on how many bathrooms stops we need to make.
On arrival at the gates of the National Park, we will enjoy a boxed lunch near the Ngorongoro Crater. In the afternoon, we will take our first game drive which will last until just before sunset. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to be in the National Park after dark. The park covers 12,944 square kilometers of open plains making it one of the largest in the world. You might visit the Moru Kopjes, which are rocky formations in the eastern part of the park where cats can be seen lazily napping on the tops of the rock formations. The park contains massive herds of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, elephants, hippopotamus, giraffes, jackals, antelopes, leopards, buffaloes, and vast species of birds. After the evening game drive, we will head to the Serengeti Acacia Tented Camp for dinner and you will be taken to your accommodations, where we can relax and share stories of the animals you saw on your first game drive.
Note: Lodging the night before your safari begins is NOT included; however, if you wish to add lodging we can arrange this for you for an additional fee.
MEALS: Lunch and dinner are included
After a delicious breakfast, we will be heading out for a full day of game viewing. We may start by driving along the Sogore River Circuit, which loops into the plains and has frequent cheetah sightings. This is also a good spot for seeing lions, Thomson’s gazelle, topi, a tree perched leopard, and ostrich.
After the morning game drive, we will head to the Visitor Centre located close to the Serengeti Seronera Lodge. This nicely designed center offers some authentic wildlife displays as well as a gift shop selling information leaflets and maps of the area. The center also has a shop where cold drinks and snacks can be purchased. There is a wonderful nearby kopje we can enjoy a view of the Serengeti and learn more about Africa, the landscape, and the wildlife. Kopjes are weathered granite outcrops, scattered around the plains, most of which are miniature ecosystems, providing shade and drinking water in pools left in the rock after the rains. This area is a very active sport for lions and sometimes we can spot formidably large cobras. We will enjoy a relaxed picnic lunch under the shade of the Giant acacia trees.
In the afternoon we will follow the Kopjes Circuit, which goes counter-clockwise around the Maasai Kopjes. The Maasai Kopjes is particularly good for spotting wildlife in the dry seasons. Have your camera ready because lions will often rest while waiting for animals coming to drink! After the evening game drive, we will head back to the Serengeti Acacia Tented Camp or Simba Campsite for dinner and a good night’s rest.
MEALS: Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included.
As you will see, no game drive is the same and every day is full of new and different adventures. Waking up early becomes effortless in the Serengeti as this is the best time to see active wildlife. The early morning is the best time to spot a predator with a fresh kill; this is due to the fact that lions and cheetahs are typically most active during the night. Our last game drive will start early at 6:30 am and finish around 9:30 am. This will be the last chance to see as many animals as possible – if you haven’t seen a leopard yet, this is your last opportunity! After exploring the park during the early morning, we will head back to gather your items before enjoying a hearty breakfast.
After loading the safari wagon with your belongings, we will drive from the Serengeti back through the Ngorongoro Conservation area. This presents a great opportunity to witness indigenous Maasai people herding goats or cattle and going about their daily lives. After leaving the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, we will drive back to Arusha and say our goodbyes before dropping you off at your hotel. If you feel like your driver has done an excellent job, please feel free to give them a tip at this time.
Note: Driving into the Ngorongoro Crater is NOT included in this package. We do offer packages that do include a trip into the crater.
Note: Lodging is NOT included at the end of this safari; however, we can arrange quality lodging for an additional fee. If you would like to be dropped off at the Kilimanjaro airport (located about an hour from Arusha) we can accommodate for an additional fee.
